Professional Investigators

Filley & Associates was founded by Scott E. Filley, CPI (Certified Professional Investigator), an experienced investigator and former Federal agent with 24 years of experience. We have assembled a highly qualified team of investigators. Our field and staff investigators are chosen for their investigative and people skills and are experienced at gathering evidence and reporting it clearly - in a way that is most useful to the client.

Because of the work we do and for obvious reasons, we do not list names or photographs of our investigators here. But our clients find our investigators to be reachable and responsive, as detailed on our testimonials page, by some of our long term clients.

Unlike many investigation companies, we do not hire novice investigators or interns. We only hire talented, experienced investigators. We pay them well, provide the best investigative tools and maintain a creative, pro-active company culture. This has worked well for us and for our clients over the years.

We are licensed and fully insured in excess of state requirements.

From state of the art covert, low light and distance camera kits to the most complete and accurate databases available, we make sure our operatives are well armed to achieve case goals. We are members of the California Association of Licensed Investigators, of which Scott Filley is a former governor of the San Francisco District. We are also members of the National Council of Investigation & Security Services, the Alliance of Investigative and Security Specialists, the Association of Security and Investigative Specialists, the World Association of Detectives, The Professional Investigators of California and the Better Business Bureau.
